iBalance 365 Support
Instructions
- An iBalance 365 user manual is included in the downloaded zip file.
- iBalance 365 runs on the latest version of Microsoft Office 365 and Excel.
- iBalance 365 utilizes VBA macros so you will need to enable them in both the properties of your Excel file and when running iBalance 365.
- iBalance 365 utilizes Microsoft Excel's standard smart shape library for drawing flowsheets. Shapes can be grouped to create unit operations.
- iBalance security allows it to be run on the computer it was licensed on only. An additional license is required for it to run on other computers.
- The short video below shows how to generate a simple balanced block flow process flow diagram (PFD) with multiple recycle streams.
- Please use "Project Setup" on the iBalance Menu to setup a components list and engineering units before you get started.
- For steam and power balances, please use on H2O as the only component. Fuel and Electrical generation can be calculated within the spreadsheet.
- You can have multiple sheets/balances within one iBalance workbook, but they will all use a common project setup sheet & components list.
- Put all balance worksheets that require different components lists within separate workbooks.
- As you are drawing your PFD, continue re-running the balance after adding each stream and unit operation to minimize problems.
- Save your workbook often to minimize the chance of losing your work in the event of an unrecoverable error.
- A "Reset" button has been included to remove all of the constraints within a flowsheet to allow starting from scratch.
- Components and their physical properties can be added to the components worksheet.
- iBalance contains two sheets of grouped process unit operation shapes, you can add more and copy and paste them into your worksheet.
- Our engineers are also available to help you generate balanced PFDs for your plant/project upon request and have experience across a wide range of process industries. eMail us an RFQ for a custom quotation.
- Please make sure you register with a valid e-mail address so you can receive important updates about iBalance 365.
